Isabella & Alexis – Christmas 2010

Well it’s Christmas Eve and Bella is so excited about Christmas this year. She cannot wait until Santa comes. She plans on giving him a big hug and wants to help him with the reindeer on the roof! We have left out some lollies for Santa, although I saw Bella sneak in a few on her way to bed. Cheeky little monkey. Bella eagerly put her Santa sack at the end of her bed and went & hung Alexis’ over the end of her cot. Alexis is 4 months today and is starting to smile & giggle at her older sister. They are so cute, Scott and I are both loving how much joy they have brought into our lives. Today we had a couple hours spare so I played around in the studio and here’s what I came up with………….

Feeney Family

William and Matthew are two happy little kids that attend the same daycare as our own little girl, Isabella. You know how you see someone over and over and you just know you should say ‘hello’ but never seem to find the right way? Or is it just me? I am pretty shy when it comes to stuff like that. So we were excited when Cat’s request came through on our contact form to get some portraits taken. We already knew a little about William and the type of boy he is through meeting him (albeit briefly) at daycare when dropping off/picking up Bella; he’s a very charming and engaging little guy. Cat, it turns out, puts in a few hours each week helping out at the centre; no wonder we saw her so often! To cut a long story short, we had a great time getting to know the Feeney family. The shoot itself was a pretty typical affair when dealing with young children. Both boys had their moments where they were happy one minute then distracted the next. We got some great shots of their different expressions and characters and had a fun time capturing them! Check out some of the shots below.

Hatchman Family

Recently, we had the pleasure of meeting the Hatchman family. Young Chayton & Hunter attend the same daycare as Isabella and it was great to meet the entire family. The session proved to be lots of fun as the littlies kept wanting to play together (including Bella), which made it difficult to set up some shots, although it did lead to some very interesting candid images. Hunter is a natural poser, although it did take him a little while to warm up. Chayton (which is Native American for ‘falcon’) has a sense of cheekiness about him all the time. Both boys are absolutely adorable and it was fantastic to work with them.

Welcome Alexis Ava

On the 24th August 2010 at 8.19am Alexis Ava Becker was brought into this world weighing 8lbs 11ozs. As the proud parents we are ecstatic on the safe arrival of our second baby girl. Isabella is coping well with our new addition and loves ‘helping’ with feeding and smothering Alexis in sloppy kisses and cuddles. Here are a few photos of our beautiful daughter.

I had the pleasure of taking some new born shots of little Lilly & her proud parents. She was 7lb 3oz at birth and nearly four weeks old in these photos. Lilly is so cute, absolutely adorable & a pleasure to work with. Crystal & Antony are wonderful parents & they are just beaming with joy at their little bundle. They make such a gorgeous family. We’ve been trying for some time now to take some photos of our beautiful daughter Isabella. Like all two year olds though she does not sit or stand still for any longer than a second, which makes photographing her rather challenging. However we managed to succeed yesterday and out of 360 photos there’s a few good ones in the mix. Here are my favourites ……..

Recently Scott took some photos of our nephew Alexander for his first birthday. He is such a cute and happy little boy. Garry and Kylie came over for the weekend and it was fantastic to spend some time with them, as we hadn’t seen them since Christmas. He are some photos of the little man. We can’t wait to see you guys again xox

I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing Ben who weighed in at 9lb 9oz. At 14 days he was indeed the little charmer and I had so much fun with him. It’s such an amazing thing to watch a family grow, and I really feel like I have, having photographed Ben’s older brother Scott not so long ago. Congratulations to Natalie & John on their new member of the family.

Finally some pictures of Wendy, Steve, Ashlee and Michael. Scott took these family portraits over at Redcliffe. I’ve been pretty sick with this pregnancy so I’m having to rely on Scott to help out a bit more. It was an overcast day, however I think the photos have come out really good considering. We had a great time meeting the Grant Family and I think towards the end of the photo shoot we were getting a few more smiles and laughter out of them. Here are some photos for you all.

Wow! So it’s been a while since my last post. I’ve spent the last two months sick with morning sickness which unfortunately has been a hindrance on my photography. I’m starting to feel a little better these days so fingers crossed! Baby #2 is due late August and Scott and I are very excited about it. During this time however, I photographed Mark & Heather and their beautiful children – Makayla, Imogen and Lincoln. They have been so patient (thanks guys) as it’s taken me a while to give them the finished product. It was such an incredible day I remember it being a lot of fun! Here are some of my favourites.
